Roanoke Star Youth Academy Programs
Pre-Academy (Ages 7-8)
U7 Must be born : 8/1/04 to 7/31/05
U8 Must be born : 8/1/03 to 7/31/04
Practice Times: Monday and Wednesday from 5:15pm to 6:30pm at Vinyard II Soccer Facility
Our Pre-Academy program creates a fun environment along with fundamental technical training. This training is tailored to suit the different skill sets in younger players. This is a great avenue to build relationships between our next generation of players, parents and our coaching staff.
* Focus is on player development not wins and loses
* Basic “Ball Mastery” training
* Small sided games
* Training in a FUN and SAFE environment
* Age appropriate training sessions based on USSF Player Development Curriculum
* Trained by licensed USSF and NSCAA coaches
* Fundamentals of dribbling, passing, receiving, and striking the ball
* We inspire confidence in players
What to bring: Cleats, Shin guards, Water, and ENTHUSIASM (parents are responsible for providing black shorts and black socks for all training sessions)
Participation Fee Fall 2012: $99.00 (includes training jersey)

At Roanoke Star Soccer Club we acknowledge how important it is for players at this age to receive the appropriate technical training so they can reach their full potential on the soccer field more quickly. Our Academy and Pre-Academy Programs are devoted to developing young players by focusing on the fundamentals. We are equally focused on teaching good sportsmanship that will result in success on and off the soccer field.
